Weekend trip

I sure am tired this morning after a long weekend trip to Enterprise (in Eastern Oregon) to visit my grandmother. I hitched a ride with Dad, Marlene, Heartman, Sailor & Guido (their 3 dogs) for the 6 hour drive to Enterprise. The trip was great - really nice to get away from everyone for a few days, and by everyone I mean the children! The weather was perfect to see the spectacular views the city had. It was nice to get home - the kids & Rob really missed me. But everyone was still alive so it must not have been too bad for Rob by himself!
The pictures are one of my dad in the back of the van with sailor on his lap (the biggest chihuahua in the world!) , Dad & Grandma in front of Lake Wallowa, Me & Grandma in a restaurant in Joseph, Me & the dogs in my Dad's bed & breakfast & Three views of the Wallowa Mountains.

Photo Shoot

After the duck feeding was done, Anna played model for me. I think I got some good shots of her, and the backdrop was perfect.

Photo Shoot over!

Ducks

On a beautiful morning Anna and I took advantage and went to the Library and fed the ducks. We bought some nasty generic brand cereal that we couldn't eat - but the ducks didn't seem to mind! Anna loved it. I love that we live in such a beautiful area and are lucky to have such a nice library .

Swine Flu

Today Anna started preschool. (kindof) It is the same place I work, but I am taking her Monday & Friday mornings so she gets some learning time. I had these grand plans as to what I would do today with my quiet morning... well I only got one thing acomplished. The swine flu vacine. Kaiser opened up their clinic today, but only to pregnat people, health care workers & day care providers. Since I work in the day care, I was ellegible. I stood in line, in the cold for 2 hours to get one. I rushed home to get Brandon off the bus. But at least I got one. They were having to turn people away. Unfortunately when they open up the clinics for the kids I will have to do this again!

Halloween

What a night, it was nice it was a Saturday so we have all day today to recover from our wild night! It started early in the morning with a trip to Great-Grandmas, Grandmas & Obachan's house. Then we all tried to nap a little, before the big parties & wild trick-or-treating began.
The first party was a Lindsay's new house. It was very nice. After the kids tried to kill each other with light saber battles, and between the 2 crying babies it was great! It made me think of the quieter Halloweens 6 years ago. Just think, out of the 4 familes that were there, 6 years ago, there was only one child. Now there are 9! Wow - we sure do get around! The dads took the kids out to beg for candy. I guess the neighborhood was swarming with little children, Rob looked so happy to be back. Then after quick dessert - it was on to party number 2. By then, the kids were really just wanting to get more candy so after a quick hello (got to watch a baby toss her cookies!) we left and did more trick-or-treating. By then, most houses were out of candy, but we got enough that the kids were satisfied. Came home and crashed. Today will be hopefully be a long nap day to get ready for the week ahead!

Halloween Parade

There was a whole group of Star Wars boys at Brandon's Kindergarten Parade this morning. I wonder if they planned it? The parade was short & sweet but Brandon come home on a sugar high from the party after the parade!

Good news

Brandon's bus stopped has been changed! Now it is right in front of our house.. I don't even have to leave the house in the rain/wind/cold to get him! This really is a lazy mothers dream.
Too bad the kids don't share my joy!
