Thanksgiving Concert

Brandon had a cute Thanksgiving Concert at Kindergarten today. They sang lots of songs in the Library about Turkeys and then we went back to their room & had apple cobbler. Yesterday they made their turkey hats and I guess one boy said it was embarrassing to wear them. When Brandon came home last night he made sure to tell us that we better not laugh at him. Of course no one laughed at them! Brandon did a good job singing all the songs, but didn't once look at me in the audience. He was too busy looking at his friend! So I think the whole movie of the concert is of his side profile!

Early Christmas

I know it is a week early to decorate for Christmas, but it was now or possible never. It takes me almost all day to do it, and looking at my schedule, I wasn't sure when I would have another full day to do this. I also needed to get my Halloween decorations put away, and both the Christmas boxes and Halloween boxes are in the actic so we decided that it would be easiest if we just did Halloween late & Christmas early! We started at 10:00 and finished the decorations at 4:00 and other than a few breaks worked almost the whole way through. I still have to help Rob get all the boxes up to the attic, but that can wait until later tonight or even tomorrow!
The kids did almost all of the tree decorating. When it was done - I chuckled to my self since the majority of the ornaments were at their eye level. I was going to just move a few, and ended up only moving the ones that had 2-3 on a single branch. I wonder if they will notice I re-arranged?
I also went to a bazarr and got Anna a new stocking since I still haven't finished making hers and I guess since this is her 4th Christmas it was time to get rid of the Baby's first
Christmas stocking!

Brandon is 6

I can't believe that Brandon is already 6. He was quick to point out that it now takes 2 hands to show how old he is. All day he was saying how old he feels. And for the most part he was acting like a very big boy. Before our parents came over for a get-together tonight he decided to clean his room. He did a nice job - better than I would have done! He requested a pizza dinner and a Star Wars Lego cake. The pizza was easy to come by, but a Star Wars Lego cake.. come on kid! After some Internet research I found some good ideas and was able to make a giant Lego brick and have him decorate it with his Star War Lego figures. He was very happy with it, and I was happy it made it to the table. As I was bringing it in from the garage I fell on the stairs and between the cake in my hands and Anna at my feet I was worried the cake was going to take the hit. But because I try to be a good mom, I took one for the cake. I have a nice big bruise on my calf & a sore ankle, but at least the cake survived! Other than the cake scare, we had all had a great day. Brandon got lots of Star Wars gifts and several puzzles.

New Toy

Look at my new toy - I think it is love. Now I can be very lazy and not even have to leave the comfort of my chair to check things on line!

Weekend trip

I sure am tired this morning after a long weekend trip to Enterprise (in Eastern Oregon) to visit my grandmother. I hitched a ride with Dad, Marlene, Heartman, Sailor & Guido (their 3 dogs) for the 6 hour drive to Enterprise. The trip was great - really nice to get away from everyone for a few days, and by everyone I mean the children! The weather was perfect to see the spectacular views the city had. It was nice to get home - the kids & Rob really missed me. But everyone was still alive so it must not have been too bad for Rob by himself!
The pictures are one of my dad in the back of the van with sailor on his lap (the biggest chihuahua in the world!) , Dad & Grandma in front of Lake Wallowa, Me & Grandma in a restaurant in Joseph, Me & the dogs in my Dad's bed & breakfast & Three views of the Wallowa Mountains.

Photo Shoot

After the duck feeding was done, Anna played model for me. I think I got some good shots of her, and the backdrop was perfect.

Photo Shoot over!

Ducks

On a beautiful morning Anna and I took advantage and went to the Library and fed the ducks. We bought some nasty generic brand cereal that we couldn't eat - but the ducks didn't seem to mind! Anna loved it. I love that we live in such a beautiful area and are lucky to have such a nice library .
